MADD Tennessee Victim Services 

MADD Tennessee Victim Services is available to assist those in Tennessee who have experienced the unexpected tragedy of a drunk driving death or injury. Unfortunately, while trying to understand, adjust to or heal from an injury, or to grieve the death of a loved one, survivors have also been thrust into the criminal justice system, which can be very confusing and frustrating to understand. MADD Tennessee Victim Services is here to assist through this difficult time.

Our goal at MADD Tennessee Victim Services is to empower you with information and to support you through the difficult times that lie ahead.
Our services are FREE and include:

  • Literature and information concerning the criminal justice system.
  • Information on Tennessee state laws and procedures.
  • Assistance with victim compensation claims. This fund is available as a fund of last resort. Please visit http://treasury.tn.gov/injury for information regarding eligibility. Please read the instructions carefully before applying or contact the Tennessee Criminal Injuries Compensation department at (615) 741-2734 with questions. If you would like to apply for TCIC, click to access an application.
  • Assistance with victim impact statements
  • Information and advocacy for victim rights.
  • Referral to community resources, support groups,online support groups, civil attorneys or counselors.
  • Court accompaniment in a non-legal capacity
  • Emotional support and/or introduction to other families whose victimization is/was similar to your own.
